Manifesto

Hey! I’m Shail - one of the co-founders @ Flent.

I did six internships during college. Not because I wanted a fancy resume, but because I was curious about how startups actually work. None of those internships made me a “specialist” in anything. But together, they gave me something more valuable: a worldview of how businesses are built — how they start, grow, hire, and execute. (Also, I discovered that office parties are where you secretly learn the most about company building.)

Most people think of internships as a way to learn one skill, work on one project, and add one line to their resume. We think that’s limiting.

And that’s the spirit behind FlentX. Think of it less like an internship and more like an apprenticeship — a way to actually live inside how a company runs. Startups don’t succeed because one person is great at one tool. They succeed because a bunch of ambitious, slightly restless people figure out how product, growth, ops, brand, and customer experience all click together.

If you get into FlentX, you’ll be the ONLY intern in the ENTIRE function (we have seven core functions). You won’t be parked on side projects. You’ll be thrown straight into the team’s P0s, working in the same chaos and urgency as the rest of us.

The goal isn’t to leave with one polished technical skill. It’s to leave with sharper instincts, a broader perspective, and the confidence that comes from having lived the startup journey up close.
